15.12.2009 New BASIK-ROAD pack from Schertler
Popular pickup re-packaged for even greater flexibility
Schertler, has released the latest addition to its range of BASIK pickup packs. The new BASIK-ROAD pack presents the popular electrostatic contact microphone in a specially designed, eye-catching, padded carrying case made from durable high-density nylon. Two separate phantom power adapters are also included; a 48V adapter for pro audio and recording studio applications, and a 1.5V AA battery-powered power supply adapter for other applications, including use with hi-fi equipment or PCs. The BASIK-ROAD pack now affords musicians and engineers even greater flexibility by enabling the pickup to be easily adapted for virtually any performance or recording situation.

SCHERTLER unveils revolutionary new guitar sensor
Frankfurt Musikmesse, 24th March 2010 – SCHERTLER SA is proud to unveil its revolutionary new guitar sensor, LYDiA. The result of more than 10 years research and development in the field of under-saddle systems, LYDiA reproduces the true sound of the instrument via a revolutionary, ultra linear condenser microphone with solid diaphragm and integrated electronic settings. The new sensor is based on SCHERTLER’s unique “air chamber” technology. Its hi-tech miniaturized construction and effective shielding make it extremely safe and reliable in all types of performance situation. The result is an impressive natural sound and a dramatically improved dynamic.
LYDiA is available in different versions for steel / nylon string guitars, for onboard installation (on the shoulder of the instrument) or with external pre-amplifier. The technology is also compatible with previous SCHERTLER under-saddle systems, offering a practical “upgrade” option for guitarists looking to get the very best from their instrument.
