14.05.2010 Schertler brings stellar string sound to Classical BRIT Awards
Systems Workshop Distribution has supplied Britannia Row Productions with a range of Schertler DYN Series transducers for mixing orchestral strings and a grand piano at the Classical BRIT Awards 2010. The show takes place in the Royal Albert Hall, London, on May 13th. Specially designed for orchestral amplification, Schertler's DYN Series - which includes the DYN-V for violin/viola, DYN-C for 'cello and DYN-B for double bass - offers extremely accurate and natural sound reproduction. Easily moved between instruments, the transducers can be safely mounted on precious violins, 'cellos and basses and connected directly to the microphone inputs of a stage mixer. Schertler's DYN-GP Grand Piano model utilizes a matched pair of transducers that capture the sound at two separate points, achieving a greater sense of space and a more balanced tone.
Brit Row's Bryan Grant commented: "We are constantly striving to provide the highest quality resources for our clients and there is no question regarding the craftsmanship and quality of Schertler mics, which are among the best transducers around. We have recently experienced an increasing demand for Schertler products, hence our decision to invest in the DYN Series. The Classical BRIT Awards will be our first outing with the mics and we will also use them at a number of other high profile events during the summer."
The 2010 Classical BRIT Awards show includes live performances from Blake with Howard Goodall's Enchanted Voices and Camilla Kerslake, Rhydian and Only Men Aloud, Rolando Villazon, Bryn Terfel and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

Over the last 20 years, Stephanie has worked with some of the world’s leading pro audio and MI hardware and software manufacturers in a variety of roles from product specialist and education coordinator to international marketing manager, before starting her own media relations business in 2006.
Trained as a professional cellist, Stephanie has played in some of the UK’s major concert halls as well as performing and recording with artists including Marillion and Francis Dunnery.
